DDA Awas Yojna
Welcome to Dwarka Development Adhikari Awas Yojna, a PPP Scheme under multi state cooperative group housing society model notified by Union Ministry of Urban Development for carrying out development in areas next to Dwarka, popularly known as Dwarka 2. To begin with let’s go through the location advantage of this area:
The location of the sub-city is South-West Delhi with the surroundings being international airport and Gurgaon. The city is also very connected to the metro line of the city center and various other important of parts of the city through MRTS. Dwarka comprises of a total of 8 existing metro stations and more metro stations have already been approved in the area under Metro Corridor Phase 4.
Dwarka boasts of a well connected and robust road network that has been built featuring modern specifications to the adjoining areas and each of the sectors. The Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 lies very close to the sub-city.
Diplomatic Enclave and Golf Course
Sector 24 of Dwarka will very soon get the second Diplomatic enclave. This Diplomatic Enclave will be an important part of Phase 2, Dwarka. At present, there are total of 39 Foreign Embassies and Missions operating from all rented residencies in Central/South Delhi. As per DDA, lands are available to be allotted because of the readymade infrastructure of the city. At present, the Ministry of External Affairs is carrying out discussions regarding the countries that should be given great priority. The discussion results will soon be announced. BY way of this move, a completely new dimension shall be added to this lively sub city. It will probably transform Sector 24 of Dwarka as one of the best sectors in Dwarka.
Proposed 8 Lane Expressway & International Convections
The Dwarka Development Awas Yojna is surrounded by Outer Ring Road, NH-8, Pankha Road, Rewari Railway Line and Najafgarh Road. The residential areas surrounding DDA include Uttam Nagar, West End, Vikas Puri, Vasant Kunj, Palam Vihar, Bijwasan, Janakpuri and Vasant Vihar. Delhi Cantonment also comprises the different areas surrounding DDA.
It is to be noted that the sub city will also be well connected to Delhi by way of 4 roads from different directions. There is a 45 metre wide road connecting Pankha Road partially by casing Palam Drain. This work was finally completed and opened in 2007 for the public.
Football Stadium and Delhi University
There are some popular Educational Institutes located very close to the Dwarka suburb homes. These educational Institutes include Ambedkar University, NSIT or Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Era Business School, Apeejay School of Management, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D), Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, MBS School of Planning and Architecture, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Trinity Institute of Professional Studies and National Law University.
